Waterfalls fill my childhood imagination.  In this series, the “swarms of living creatures” coming out of the water are made from a garment that once clothed me.  Using fabric that has personal meaning is a way of embodying love and care in my tapestries.  Waterfalls are full of teaming life, but also represent the overwhelming rush of water that can drown.  During Covid, each successive wave of death threatened to drown us in grief and mystery.  My art during the Covid-19 pandemic is a conversation between suffering in the world, personal memory, and the solace I find in nature.  These artworks are made using Joomchi.
